In vitro study examining tirzepatide's effects on colorectal cancer cell line SW48, assessing expression of key oncogenic regulatory genes (NF-kB, p53, c-Myc, CASP8) after treatment with varying tirzepatide concentrations. Tirzepatide altered oncogenic signaling pathways in colorectal cancer cells, suggesting potential anti-cancer mechanistic activity. Provides the first in vitro evidence for tirzepatide's oncogenic signaling modulation in colorectal cancer cells—establishing whether dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor activation may reduce colorectal cancer risk through direct cellular mechanisms beyond the obesity-cancer relationship addressed by weight reduction.
