Pepdox is a peptide research aggregator that indexes publicly available studies from PubMed. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the data we collect.
Information We Collect
Account information: If you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
Usage data: We collect basic usage data such as pages visited and search queries to improve the service. This data is not linked to your identity.
Favorites: If you are logged in, we store your favorited peptides and studies so they persist across sessions.
How We Use Your Information

Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Study data displayed on Pepdox is sourced from the publicly available PubMed/NCBI database.
Cookies and Local Storage
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We also use local storage to remember your theme preference (light or dark mode). We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
Data Security
Passwords are hashed using scrypt with a unique salt per user. Session tokens are signed with HMAC-SHA256 and expire after 30 days. All traffic is encrypted via HTTPS.
Your Rights
You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. You may also clear your favorites from the Favorites page.
