Mechanistic review of whether polyphenolic flavonoids (quercetin, resveratrol, berberine, curcumin) could enhance the anti-obesity efficacy of semaglutide and tirzepatide by addressing overlapping pathways of adipogenesis, insulin resistance, gluconeogenesis, and chronic inflammation, potentially enabling lower effective pharmacological doses through additive or synergistic mechanisms. Explores a combination nutraceutical-pharmacotherapy approach. Provides a mechanistic rationale for exploring flavonoid adjuncts to tirzepatide therapy—identifying potential molecular synergies between dietary bioactive compounds and GLP-1/GIP agonism that could inform clinical research on combined nutraceutical-pharmacological obesity management.
