Demonstrates electron capture dissociation (ECD) for top-down proteomics of peptides and small proteins including thymosin β4 on chromatographic timescales. Successfully identified isoaspartate modifications within a thymosin β4 proteoform and distinguished leucine/isoleucine within ubiquitin. Validates ECD-based top-down proteomics as a practical tool for characterizing Tβ4 post-translational modifications—relevant for detecting degradation products and modified forms in biological samples and doping control.
