Tests whether thymosin β4 improves autologous fat graft survival by facilitating mitochondrial transfer from ADSCs to adipocytes via tunneling nanotubes (TNTs). Tβ4 increased Rac1/F-actin pathway activation, promoting TNT formation and mitochondrial transfer from ADSCs to surrounding adipocytes and newly formed blood vessels. In fat graft transplantation experiments, Tβ4 treatment significantly improved graft retention, adipocyte viability, and vascularization. Identifies mitochondrial transfer via Rac/F-actin/TNT as a novel mechanism for Tβ4-mediated fat graft preservation.
