Mass spectrometry analysis of thymosin β4 and β10 expression at the deep infiltrative margins of colorectal cancer (CRC). Both TB4 and TB10 were highly expressed at cancer invasion fronts compared to tumor core or normal colon—the region associated with lymphovascular invasion and distant metastasis. The spatial pattern suggests TB4 and TB10 promote CRC local invasion at the advancing edge. Establishes TB4's spatial distribution in CRC as a metastasis-promoting factor at the tumor-stroma interface.
