Tests thymosin β4 as a fetal growth promoter when administered during pregnancy in rats and other models. TB4 administration to pregnant animals improved fetal development outcomes including birth weight, organ maturation, and viability. The effect was particularly notable in models of preterm delivery, where TB4 improved neonatal survival and reduced preterm-delivery-associated complications. Establishes TB4 as a potential agent for improving fetal and neonatal outcomes in high-risk pregnancies.
