This study demonstrated that MOTS-c promotes uptake and efficacy of antisense oligonucleotide therapy in dystrophic mice, a model of Duchenne muscular dystrophy. MOTS-c's intrinsic muscle-targeting properties augmented glycolytic flux and energy production in dystrophic muscles, improving therapeutic oligonucleotide delivery.
