Transcriptomic and bioinformatic analysis of secondary hair follicle (SHF) dermal papilla cells across the growth cycle in Albas cashmere goats identifies TMSB4X (thymosin β4) as a candidate gene positively correlated with SHF growth performance. TMSB4X emerged from differential expression analysis and protein-protein interaction network construction comparing anagen vs. telogen phases. Gene set enrichment analysis confirmed TB4's close association with hair cycle regulation. Provides bioinformatic evidence for TB4's hair growth regulatory role—complementing the TB4 goat overexpression study (PMID 31906185).
