Social stress in laboratory animals suppressed some immune responses while amplifying others — a pattern consistent with "immune imbalance" seen under stress conditions. Semax restored both cellular and antibody-based immune function and normalized the activity of infection-fighting white blood cells. The findings confirm that Semax has genuine immunomodulatory properties and warrants further study as a therapeutic for stress-related immune dysfunction.
