This animal study showed that MOTS-c treatment improved early aging-related changes in mice treated with D-galactose (an aging model). While effects on body weight and glucose were modest, MOTS-c improved tissue morphology and markers of cellular aging via AMPK-dependent mechanisms, supporting its potential as an anti-aging intervention.
