Characterizes thymosin β4 and thymosin β10 expression patterns in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) tissue. Both beta-thymosin family members were detected in HCC specimens, with expression patterns implicating them in HCC carcinogenesis including roles in cellular motility, angiogenesis, inflammation, and cell survival. Establishes TMSB4X and TMSB10 as HCC-expressed proteins with oncogenic associations—providing histological evidence for TB4's role in the most common primary liver cancer and complementing the VEGFR inhibitor resistance study (PMID 28246302) linking TB4 to HCC treatment resistance.
