Develops poly(ε-caprolactone) nanofiber scaffolds coated with thymosin β4 for cardiac tissue repair. PCL nanoscaffolds were fabricated by electrospinning and surface-coated with TB4, which promoted murine cardiomyocyte differentiation and cardiac-specific gene expression. TB4-coated scaffolds supported formation of organized, functionally active cardiac tissue. Establishes a biomaterial scaffold approach for TB4 delivery in cardiac tissue engineering—combining TB4's biological activity with a structural scaffold matrix to address both cell survival/differentiation and mechanical support in cardiac regeneration.
