Demonstrates that transfection of non-odontogenic human keratinocytes (HaCaT cells) with TMSB4X drives expression of dental epithelial differentiation markers and calcium-positive nodule formation. TB4-transfected cells expressed ameloblast differentiation markers normally absent in skin keratinocytes. Establishes TB4 as a master regulator capable of converting non-dental epithelial cells toward odontogenic identity—providing a cellular reprogramming strategy for regenerative dentistry that avoids the ethical limitations of using embryonic tooth germ cells.
