Develops and validates the first LC-MS/MS method for detecting TB-500 (Ac-LKKTETQ, the actin-binding fragment of thymosin β4) in equine urine and plasma for anti-doping control in horse racing. The method achieved detection limits sufficient for doping control purposes and identified urine as the optimal specimen matrix. Provides anti-doping laboratories the analytical tools needed to detect TB-500 misuse in equine sports—a high-profile application given TB-500's veterinary use for enhancing equine performance and recovery from injury.
