Examines thymosin β4 and cancer stem cell marker CD133 co-expression in ovarian and gastric cancers. TB4 was overexpressed in both primary and metastatic ovarian cancers, and co-localized with CD133 in cancer stem cell-enriched populations. Establishes TB4 overexpression as a feature of cancer stem cells in gynecological malignancies—linking TB4's cytoskeletal role to cancer stem cell maintenance and metastasis in ovarian cancer, where cancer stem cells drive peritoneal dissemination and chemotherapy resistance.
