Researchers studied immune cells within the pineal gland and found that Epitalon stimulated their development into B cells, while the dipeptide Vilon promoted broader immune cell differentiation. These findings suggest that pineal peptides play a compensatory role in supporting immune function, which becomes especially important as the thymus shrinks with age.
