Interventional study in 13 men with BMI 20–35 examining the relationship between total and high-molecular-weight (HMW) adiponectin and parameters of endogenous pulsatile GH secretion, and the effects of 2 weeks of tesamorelin on adiponectin levels, finding that pulsatile GH parameters were inversely related to adiponectin in obese subjects and that tesamorelin altered adiponectin dynamics. Links GHRH treatment to adipokine regulation. Establishes the relationship between GH axis function and adiponectin signaling—with implications for understanding how tesamorelin's effects on GH pulsatility influence adipose tissue endocrine function and insulin sensitization beyond direct fat redistribution.
